Who we are
FerrLens (the service) is operated by FerrLabs SAS (the operator), SIREN 104
243 951, registered in France. You (the user) are anyone who loads a page on ferrlens.com or calls the API at api.ferrlens.com.
What the service does
FerrLens is a catalogue of small web-related tools (SEO checks, DNS lookups, JWT decoding, regex testing, etc.). Some run entirely in your browser; some make server-side calls to third-party APIs (notably Google PageSpeed Insights) and cache the result. See the privacy policy for what we store.
Fair use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Bypass the per-IP rate limits via VPNs, residential proxies, headless browser farms, etc.
- Probe URLs you don't own and don't have permission to test for vulnerabilities.
- Stress-test infrastructure that isn't yours (use a dedicated load-testing service with the target's consent).
- Submit content that's illegal under French or EU law (CSAM, terrorism propaganda, fraud, etc.). We will cooperate with judicial requests.
If you systematically exceed the anonymous rate limit, we may block your IP or AS without notice. For higher quotas, sign up for a paid plan — see pricing.
What you grant us when you click "Share"
By clicking the Share this scan button on any tool result, you grant FerrLabs the right to
host the URL you submitted and the result we returned at a publicly accessible URL of the form https://ferrlens.com/share/<id>, for the retention duration indicated when you click (typically 90 days). You can revoke this
at any time by visiting the share URL and clicking Delete this share.
Don't click Share for a URL you don't have the right to disclose publicly. The share page is not access-controlled — anyone with the link can read it, and search engines can index it.
What we grant you
A non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide right to use the public tools at ferrlens.com
and the documented API endpoints at api.ferrlens.com for your own work, your employer's
work, or your client's work, free of charge, subject to fair use above.
You can scrape, screenshot, or otherwise extract results from the public tools and re-publish them with attribution. You can NOT republish a clone of FerrLens itself (the catalogue UI, the branding) — that's reserved.
No warranty
The service is provided as is. We try to keep it accurate (Lighthouse scores match what Google returns, DNS records match what your resolver sees), but we make no guarantee. Don't use it as the single source of truth for a critical decision (court filing, compliance audit, financial trading) without an independent verification.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, FerrLabs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our maximum liability for direct damages is capped at the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or €100 if you're on the free tier.
Paid plans
Paid plans (Pro / Team) are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe. Billing terms are listed on the pricing page and at checkout. You can cancel at any time from your account; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No prorata refunds for partial periods.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes go to the Tribunal Judiciaire de Lyon, except where mandatory consumer law gives you a more favourable forum.
Changes
We may update these terms. Substantive changes are announced 30 days in advance in the FerrLabs changelog. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
